From a generic template to a site built to book stays.
Cotswold Lake Lodges runs two luxury holiday lodges near South Cerney. Their old site used a generic website-builder template with stock-style layouts that didn't reflect the quality of the actual lodges, and there was no real push toward direct bookings.
I rebuilt the entire site as a fast, self-contained static build: real photography and drone video of both lodges, a homepage designed around the booking enquiry, and a fully mobile-first layout.
- Replaced template visuals with the owner's own photography & drone footage
- Rebuilt mobile-first for fast loading on any device
- Designed the homepage around direct enquiries, not third-party booking platforms
- Added a dedicated local "things to do" guide to support guest planning
