B&B · 008 Privacy Policy
Plain
English,
no legal maze.
I'm a one-person studio, not a data company. Here's exactly what gets collected when you use this site, why, and how to have it deleted whenever you want.
Who's behind this site.
Byte & Build is run by me, Monty Tucker, a web designer based in Swindon, Wiltshire. This site is byteandbuild.pro, and I'm the only person who has access to anything it collects.
What I actually collect.
The only personal information this site gathers is what you choose to type into the enquiry form: your name, email, phone number (if you give it), business name, and your message. That's it. There's no account to create, nothing to log in to, and nothing else being harvested in the background.
How your enquiry gets to me.
When you submit the form, it's delivered straight to my inbox (tuckermonty7@gmail.com) using a third-party form processor called FormSubmit. They handle the delivery; I don't run my own server or database, so nothing sits stored on this site itself. FormSubmit has its own privacy policy covering how they briefly handle that data in transit.
Other services this site uses.
A few pages load small bits from other companies' servers, each covered by their own privacy policy:
- Google Fonts, on every page, to load the site's typefaces. Loading a font means your browser makes a request to Google's servers.
- Google Maps, embedded on the Contact page, to show roughly where I'm based.
- Spline, on the Contact page, for the interactive 3D graphic. It loads a viewer script from Spline's servers.
Cookies & tracking.
This site doesn't run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any tracking cookies of its own, so there's nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes (analytics is the most likely candidate, to see which pages are actually useful), this page will be updated first and a cookie banner will be added.
How long I keep it.
Enquiry emails stay in my inbox for as long as it's useful for us to be in touch, and I don't share, sell or forward your details to anyone outside of replying to you. If we work together afterwards, project details are kept only as long as needed for the work and any support that follows.
Your rights.
Under UK data protection law, you can ask me at any time to see what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Just email tuckermonty7@gmail.com and I'll sort it, usually the same day.
Changes to this page.
If how this site handles data ever changes, this page gets updated to match, not quietly rewritten. Last updated 5 August 2026.
